Addition of e-safety to primary school curriculum would be breakthrough for children

Today, the Government has proposed changes to the national curriculum including adding e-safety to the primary school (KS1 and KS2) national curriculum.  This is great news as addressing issues such as cyber-bullying and e-safety at this early age can help protect children as they increase their use of the internet and social networking throughout their school years.

BeatBullying state that, 'education for safety and good behaviour online needs to begin as early as possible, before cyber-bullying even becomes an issue. Our research shows that one-in-10 primary school-aged children have experienced persistent and intentional bullying inflicted via technology, which equates to 272,026 primary-aged children in the UK.'
